The accident
On 05 September 2015, the fishing vessel Caledonian, with 4 people on board, capsized while hauling fish on board off the West Coast of Vancouver Island, British Columbia. The vessel eventually sank and minor pollution was reported. One crew member was rescued and the bodies of the remaining 3 crew members were recovered.

On 18 March 2015, the tug Syringa, with two people on board and a loaded barge in tow, sank near Merry Island, 6 nautical miles west of Sechelt, British Columbia. The two crew members were rescued by the Merry Island lighthouse keeper. The barge was recovered by the tug Helen J.

The occurrence
On 14 March 2015, the self-propelled barge Lasqueti Daughters took on water and sank in Georgia Strait, British Columbia, with 17 people on board. The master, owner and reforestation personnel abandoned the vessel. The vessel was salvaged and towed to Campbell River, British Columbia.

The occurrence
On 13 June 2015, the passenger vessel NORTHERN SPIRIT I reported a passenger fell overboard during an evening cruise 4 nautical miles west of Toronto, Ontario. Search and Rescue authorities were notified and a search was conducted without success. The deceased person was later recovered in the area of the occurrence.

The occurrence
On 28 April 2015, the fishing vessel FREDERIKE C-2 caught on fire off Rimouski, Quebec. The crew abandoned into a liferaft and were later rescued by the fishing vessel MARIE-KARINE D. The Canadian Coast Guard vessel CAP PERCE was dispatched to assist. The vessel later sank at position 48°28.74′N - 068°36.85′W. Minor pollution was observed in the vicinity of the wreck. No injuries were reported.

The occurrence
On 3 April 2015, the bulk carrier CWB MARQUIS went aground in the vicinity of the Pointe Fortier anchorage area below the Beauharnois locks, on the St. Lawrence Seaway, after a large ice floe came into contact with the vessel and pushed the vessel to the shore. The vessel was refloated the same day with the assistance of two tugs. No injuries, or pollution, but some minor damage to the vessel was reported.

The occurrence
On 11 January 2015, the bulk carrier "Atlantic Erie", with 25 people on board, ran aground 1.1 nautical miles west of La Bluff, Île de Grande Entrée, Quebec. The vessel was partially off-loaded, ballast was removed and it was refloated with the assistance of tugs. The incident did not cause any injuries or pollution.
