The occurrence

On 21 November 2018 , the cable-laying vessel Cable Innovator was backing into a berth at Ogden Point in Victoria, British Columbia, when the vessel made contact with the berth. At the time, the master had the con, with a pilot, chief officer, second officer, helmsman, and chief engineer assisting on the bridge.

The occurrence

On 29 May 2018, the product/chemical tanker Chem Norma sustained a steering gear failure and subsequently ran aground off Morrisburg, Ontario. The vessel was assisted by the tugs Ocean K. Rusby, Ocean Pierre Julien and Ocean Tundra, and was refloated on 03 June 2018. The vessel sustained damage to its hull, rudder, and propeller. No injuries or pollution were reported.

The occurrence

On 08 April 2018 , the RoPax passenger ferry F.-A.-Gauthier, berthed at its wharf in Matane, Quebec, reported the failure of a remotely-operated valve on its power plant's No.2 Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) fuel supply system. Emergency repairs were carried out, and the vessel continued its operations.

No pollution was reported.
