Investigation report: Accident on takeoff at St-Mathias Water Aerodrome (Quebec)

Today, the Transportation Safety Board of Canada (TSB) published its investigation report (A25Q0051) into the May 2025 loss of control and overturn on takeoff involving a float-equipped De Havilland DHC-2 Mk.I aircraft, operated by ETA Aviation & César Camp du Nord inc., in Saint-Mathias-sur-Richelieu (Quebec).

The TSB conducted a limited-scope, class 4 investigation into this occurrence to advance transportation safety through greater awareness of potential safety issues. See the Policy on Occurrence Classification for more information.
