Transportation Safety Board of Canada deploys a team to Gaspé, Quebec, to investigate a marine accident
Gatineau, Quebec, 25 October 2012 — The Transportation Safety Board of Canada (TSB) has deployed a team of investigators to Gaspé, Quebec, to investigate a fatality aboard the bulk carrier M/V Barnacle. The TSB will gather information and assess the occurrence.
The TSB is an independent agency that investigates marine, pipeline, railway and aviation transportation occurrences. Its sole aim is the advancement of transportation safety. It is not the function of the Board to assign fault or determine civil or criminal liability.
