Investigation report: May 2019 controlled flight into terrain near Rigolet, Newfoundland and Labrador
Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, 16 January 2020 — Today, the Transportation Safety Board of Canada (TSB) released its investigation report (A19A0025) on the 1 May 2019 controlled flight into terrain of a Piper PA 46-350P Malibu Mirage aircraft near Rigolet, Newfoundland and Labrador.
The TSB conducted a limited-scope, fact-gathering investigation into this occurrence to advance transportation safety through greater awareness of potential safety issues.
