Chair's message
For the TSB, 2017 started up in high gear. In fact, over the last 3 months, we have deployed investigators to 17 accident sites across the country, released 15 investigation reports, and started 9 new investigations.
We called for strategies to reduce the severity of derailments involving dangerous goods, following our investigation into the February 2015 accident near Gogama, Ontario. We also issued an update on the accident involving a Tecnam P2006T aircraft that took place near Cochrane, Alberta.
Spring is a time of renewal. So, with the first days of spring upon us, we would like to take this time to renew our commitment to the advancement of transportation safety in Canada.
