TSB Deploys Team to Investigate Air Accident at Île-aux-Grues, Quebec

(Gatineau, Quebec, May 19, 2010) - The Transportation Safety Board of Canada (TSB) has deployed a team to today's air accident in Île-aux-Grues, Quebec. TSB senior air investigator Marc Perrault is the Investigator-in-Charge and is leading the team. He is accompanied by one investigator.

On Wednesday, May 19, 2010, at approximately 3:17 p.m. local time, a Cessna 172 was involved in an accident.

The TSB is an independent agency that investigates marine, pipeline, railway and aviation transportation occurrences. Its sole aim is the advancement of transportation safety. It is not the function of the Board to assign fault or determine civil or criminal liability.
